Amirah is originally from Pennsylvania, and has been a Los Angeles resident since her undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California (USC), where she graduated with a BS in Global Health, and minor in Classics. During her time at USC, Amirah completed multiple internships, and volunteered with the Global Health Network Uganda. Currently, Amirah works at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, as the Senior Programs Manager, overseeing a large grant to expand services to an additional 40,000 older adults in LA County.
austin kim
Austin is currently working for The Permanente Medical Group and manages the Ophthalmology and Dermatology Clinics in Redwood City, CA. He graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL with a B.S. in Computational Mathematics. After undergraduate studies, Austin commissioned as an Officer in the United States Navy and completed 3 deployments over 5 years of service. After Active duty, Austin joined Kaiser Permanente as a Military Officer Transitioning Program Associate, which is a fellowship style program designed to integrate prior military officers into the organization.
Blaire Tribulski
Blaire Tribulski grew up in Murrieta, CA and completed her bachelor's degree in Health Education and Promotion with a Health Science emphasis from Utah State University in Northern Utah. She has since been working as a Nutritionist for the WIC program and has recently transitioned into a new role as a Health Educator for the Salt Lake County Health Department Substance Use Disorder Division. Since starting her career Blaire studied to obtain her Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certificate and has been pursuing professional development opportunities through her employer.

Dr. Jung is the first year Family Planning fellow in the OBGYN division. She graduated from Princeton University magna cum laude with a BA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology with a certificate in Neuroscience and African American Studies. She then moved to Maseru, Lesotho in Southern Africa after graduation to work with the Baylor Pediatric HIV/AIDS Initiative as a community outreach coordinator before returning to NYC for medical school at Albert Einstein in the Bronx.

Dr. Clarence C. Monteclaro is a family physician of Filipino descent, raised in South Bay Los Angeles, and servers as Lead Physician at Wilmington Health Center, Ambulatory Care Network, DHS Los Angeles County. He graduated in 2003 Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a BS in Psychobiology, received his Doctorate of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2010, completed residency training in Family Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2013, and received his Masters of Business Administration at Paul Merage Business School, University of California, Irvine in 2015.
Imran Ahmed
Dr. Imran Ahmed is currently a Pediatric Dental Resident at UCLA-Westwood. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of California, Irvine with a BS in Neurobiology. Subsequently, he completed his dental school education and was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry.While in dental school, Dr. Imran was involved in research examining Community Oral Health Workers, focusing on their role in children's oral health, health literacy, and culturally competent interventions.
Jessica Arzola
Jessica Arzola is a Registered Nurse on a Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Her clinical practice majorly consists of helping patients prepare and recover from surgeries such as heart and lung transplantation, valve repairs, lobe resections, and esophagectomies. Jessica graduated from New York University with a BS in Nursing. In addition to being a Gates Millennium Scholar, Jessica was awarded the President’s Service Award upon graduation due to her numerous volunteer efforts with homeless and vulnerable populations within New York City.
Joanna Rose
Joanna is Afro-Caribbean in heritage. She graduated Cum Laude from her alma mater D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York with Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Bachelors of Science in Health Services Administration.
Shortly after graduating with her nursing degree, Joanna commissioned as an officer in the Army Nurse Corps. During her active duty career, she provided care directly to wounded warriors, veterans, and their families. Joanna has now transitioned and continued her military service in the Army Reserves. Joanna works as a step-down/critical care nurse.
Karl Pacamalan
Karl Ian Pacamalan was originally born in Manila, Philippines. Shortly into his infancy, his family migrated to the United States to reunite with other family members. Karl spent most of his adult life in Orlando, FL where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in health services administration from the University of Central Florida. In Orlando, Karl is currently employed at an assisted living facility that specializes in caring for those with mental health conditions.
Kemi Role
Kemi Role is currently the Director of Work Equity at a national workers’ rights organization. In her role, Kemi guides and leads efforts to remove barriers to employment, end employment discrimination and occupational segregation, address health and safety issues for workers, and build Black worker power; all within a framework of dismantling structural racism and centering Blackness. Kemi works closely with Black-led worker center partners across the country to co-develop policy and advocacy strategies that build Black worker power and amplify innovative strategies seeded within the community.
Magdalena Estrada
Magdalena Estrada is native from Guatemala. She immigrated to Los Angeles during the civil war in her country. Currently, Magdalena is a Health Education Manager at Eisner Health Community Center. Magdalena has been a perinatal health educator for over 20 years in Los Angeles and her community health education interest is maternity care as a reproductive justice matter. Magdalena graduated Cum Laude from Cal State Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health. She is a certified health education specialist (CHES), childbirth educator and board certified lactation consultant.
Megan Laird
Megan Laird serves as the Youth and Garden Programs Manager for the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust, a non-profit organization that addresses social, racial and health equity through building parks and gardens within communities that lack green space across Greater Los Angeles. Megan received her B.A. in Environmental Studies/Biology with an emphasis in Agroecology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Michelle Katz
Michelle D. Katz MS, RD is a Registered Dietitian at USC Student Health Keck Medicine of USC, a consulting Dietitian to the Residential Treament Facilities Polaris Teen Center and Haven House, and owns a private practice in West Los Angeles. Michelle earned her Master of Science Degree in Nutritional Science and a Certificate in Sports Nutrition from California State University Los Angeles (CSULA) in 2014. After earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications at Boston University, Michelle moved to Los Angeles and spent 15 years in the entertainment industry working in film production and distribution.
Naomi Lam
Naomi was born and raised in Hong Kong. Besides speaking her mother tongue, Cantonese, Naomi can also speak Mandarin fluently. She moved to America with her family after she finished high school in Hong Kong and went on to study Animal Science at University of California, Davis before moving to Los Angeles. Naomi graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BS in Public Health. Naomi enjoys the different roles she has as a Community Health Educator at Health Net. She facilitates health education classes and attends community meetings and health fairs throughout LA.
Paige Hall
Paige Briana Hall is originally from the Bronx, NY. As a Rutgers University graduate, she is an Administrative Specialist currently providing executive and programmatic support to multiple UCLA Public Health Associate Deans. Alongside working full time at UCLA, Paige also serves as the Program Coordinator for Free 2 Be Me Dance- a non-profit organization providing the gift of dance to individuals with Down Syndrome. This work includes ensuring the program has the resources, networks, and organization needed to give individuals with IDDs a safe space to express themselves and meet their individual goals.
Randon Young
Randon Young is an Associate Founder of DVATL, an early stage Qualified Opportunity Fund that leverages Artificial Intelligence to address social determinants of health within
communities of color. Currently, Randon works as a Talent Advisor for Beyond Limits, a full-stack Artificial Intelligence Engineering company that creates advanced software solutions for clients within the Healthcare, Energy, FinTech, and IoT sectors. Randon earned his M.B.A. in London, England and holds a B.S. in Biology.
Sean McGivern
Dr. Sean McGivern hails from the great state of Iowa, where he worked as an associate dentist at the Iowa Pediatric Dental Center for two years. Dr. McGivern received both his undergraduate degree in biology and his doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Iowa. Dr. McGivern’s 15 years of research experience began at the Institute for Vision Research, a molecular ophthalmology laboratory at the University of Iowa. During dental school, his focus shifted from molecular genetics to public health and public policy.While at the National Institutes for Dental and Craniofacial Research in the Office of Science Policy and Analysis, Dr. McGivern studied access to care issues and provider participation in state Medicaid programs.
Stephanie Trahan
Dr. Stephanie Trahan is currently a pediatric dental resident at UCLA’s school of dentistry. She graduated from Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2011 and School of Graduate Medical Sciences in 2007. She also attended Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management and was the founder and captain of SU’s Women’s Ice Hockey Team. Dr. Trahan served for five years in the United States Air Force as a dentist and reached the rank of Major. While in the Air Force, Dr. Trahan began sailing with the Special Olympics program and regularly enjoys volunteering with the program as well as sail racing.
Whitney Scott
Whitney Scott is a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of California. She practices dental hygiene at several community health clinics and hospitals. She also has professional experience in marketing and management. She graduated from Woodbury University earning a BS in Marketing and later graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Los Angeles College earning a BS in Dental Hygiene. Ms. Scott has received several distinguished awards and scholarships for her exemplary academic performance and community involvement. She was inducted into the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society by the faculty of West Los Angeles College.
Young Sun Suh
With a Bachelor of Medical Science, Doctor of Medicine and post-graduate year at the Royal Columbian Hospital in British Columbia. Dr. Suh started his medical career in a private sector with his own medical practice. After eight years, Dr. Suh moved his family and joined Family Medcenters in South Carolina providing primary care in the private practice as well as in the Regional Medical Center. In 2012, Dr. Suh returned to the United States accepting the position of Senior Physician at the University of California Riverside Student Health Service and restarted family practice.
